Last weekend I went to the beach with my friends and my boyfriend. I had an awfully good time watching the waves, enjoying the weather, and being with my best friend, my boyfriend. Just coming back from the beach, my dad told me about our family vacations, so I’ll go to the beach again and I’m very happy about it. Honestly, I love the beach; feeling the sand on your toes, hearing the waves, the salty smell… I really enjoy those moments.

I hope this trip to the beach relaxes me because right now I’m very angry over my job. Someone played a dirty trick on me and now they won’t pay the money they owe me, which is a lot. I’m tired of so many fights and in fact I’m pretty sure my boss will get away with this and he’ll never pay me back. My family received them with open arms just to get insults back from them. But as people say: Karma is a bitch, and he’ll get what he deserves.

Now, onto the look… I just got my new clothes from Babassu Fashion and I was given this bright pink blouse with a Peter Pan collar. You know how much I love the Peter Pan Collars and I found it perfect to match it with a flowery maxi shirt. I didn’t want to wear greatly jewelry; I was looking for the outfit to speak for itself. I’m not wearing my hair extensions that much anymore, I love my hairs’ length right now and I want to enjoy it. The shoes were bought in a garage sale a few months ago. I spend 2 dollars on them, can you believe it?

My regards to everyone, and I hope to be commenting your blogs on Monday when I’ll be back (:

P.S.: I’m eager to watch the new Batman (If you didn’t know, I’m a total geek). My blessings for those killed in the Colorado shooting and for their families.

Mila Kunis Goes Retro

jueves, 19 de julio de 2012

Mila Kunis is back as the face of Dior Handbag. The first campaign, I really like it very much but this  one is wonderful and so glam. It is inspired of the glamorous 50's and you know how much I love this time. Also she reminds me a lot of Jackie Kennedy. Don't you think?

The shoot was photographed by Mario Sorrenti and styled by Carine Roitfeld.

This weekend, I will go to the beach with some friends and my boyfriend. I hope I will have a good time over there. I wish you a happy weekend and see ya next week with new looks.

Keep Holding On, Avi...

miércoles, 11 de julio de 2012

Despite the blog being about my personal style, it’s also a space to talk about my feelings… I haven’t been feeling really fine this week. I’m having economic issues,  I don’t feel so creative like I did before, I don’t like my closet at all, now thanks to the blog I’m more conscious of my body. If you would’ve met me two years ago, you wouldn’t have recognized me. I was size 0-2, a little bit smaller, I was a stick. No hips, no back. Nothing.  My hair was long and golden naturally. I’ve gained weight; I have big legs, big hip, big back, and a round face. Some people tell me I look better now because I used to look sick and too skinny, but others tell me I look fat… Now I’m insecure about my body. And whenever I try on clothes, I don’t like anything because I don’t want to ask for a bigger size,  therefore I don’t buy…

My hair lost its shine thanks to the million colors I’ve dyed it these past years, and now I’m in the process of getting it back,

Right now I’m not comfortable with my style, body and money. Sorry for venting.

Remember when I told you I don't like white? I have this blouse on my closet over a month. I didn't have the strength to wear it. At the end...I really like this blouse.  It is from Babassu store, you can buy it online.

Have a wonderful weekend :)

Downtown San Diego

jueves, 5 de julio de 2012

Last Sunday I went to Downtown San Diego to celebrate my mother’s and aunt’s birthday. It was incredibly fun to walk down that zone and see the diversity of restaurants there. You could also see how the Comic Con is coming because there were superheroes’ stuff everywhere, and I was really excited about that. We decided to go to the Sloppy Joey’s Pizza and Pasta to grab something to eat. My boyfriend and I asked for a pizza, and actually it tasted very good. For dessert I got a delicious sundae. After eating, we visited some stores and I bought myself a very beautiful mint clutch, and a black lace short. I hope you get to see them soon.

The weather was perfect, a bit cold, but a sun that wasn’t burning and I really enjoyed it. I had so much fun that day.

{Tudor Styled Fashion Editorial}
Dazed & Confused Magazine, November 2009 Photographed by William Selden

This is one of my favorite editorial photoshoots. I'm a lover of English History especially during this period of time. So when I saw this editorial, I was screaming.
